Participation in the program is highly encouraged for those who plan to run cross country in the fall. The GTC will offer weekly team workouts as well as several opportunities to compete in outdoor summer track meets.

The purpose of the GTC is to promote a culture of excellence in our running program as well as bridge the gaps between fall cross country and spring track and field. Practices will be held 3 times per week, T/TH from 8:00-9:30 at Ascent and Saturdays from 8:30-10:00 at various locations in the South Metro area. A tentative schedule of competition opportunities will include the following scheduled meets:

  • 6/18 Boulder Road Runners All-Comers #2
  • 6/28-7/1 AAU Region 10 Qualifier
  • 7/17 Boulder Road Runners All-Comers #4
  • 7/25 Denver Twilight Series: The Finale

Athletes in the program will also have access to a weekly training schedule which will be designed to bring them into the cross country season ready to handle the training of the season while minimizing the risk of injury. Participants in the program will receive access to our Stack Team App for club communication, a GTC T-shirt, as well as the opportunity to purchase a GTC racing singlet for competition.
